6.25 We are seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus
(Eph 1:19-21)
…and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and SEATED HIM AT HIS RIGHT HAND in the HEAVENLY PLACES, FAR ABOVE all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
But let us fast forward a few verses ahead to chapter 2. Something else happened when Jesus died and rose from the dead. We who believed in Him also died and were resurrected into newness of life. Our lives were wrapped up in Christ. The Bible tells about our Father’s great love which He loved us – that even when we were dead, He made us alive with Christ. Jesus dies our death so that we can receive His life – this is the demonstration of love.
Not only were we made alive with Christ – today, we are raised up together, and made to sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Now this is even more awesome! Because we are in Christ, we are also seated in Him next to the Father, far above all principality and power and might and dominion. This is what the Bible says.
(Eph 2:4-6)
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us SIT TOGETHER in the HEAVENLY PLACES in Christ Jesus…
Most Christians have not even fathomed a fraction of the fullness of what Christ has done for us. It is simply too incredible and too awesome for some. Today, we must realize the privilege that we have in Christ. We are no longer poor sinners. We are no longer fearful to come before our Father’s presence. We are no longer always running away from the Devil. We are no longer under the circumstances.
Precious saints, we are seated in the heavenly places in Christ – redeemed by the blood of Jesus. When we start seeing our position in Christ, we will realize that we live in our Father’s presence, and we are seated next to Him. We are far above Satan – the defeated foe. We will walk tall and live life differently – with faith in Christ. When you live from the throne room of God, negative circumstances will eventually come under your feet.
