3.9 Love is a Person and He lives in us

God is love. In addition to having experienced God’s love, we have also received Him into our hearts. God lives in us through His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the source of God’s love in us. Rom 5:5 says that the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

Now hope does not disappoint, because the LOVE OF GOD has been poured out in our hearts BY THE HOLY SPIRIT who was given to us.

Today, we can also say that Love lives in us and we are the living and walking bearers of His love. We don’t love with our own ability. It is His love that flows in us and through us. This also explains how the Holy Spirit causes us to bear the fruit of love in our lives.
