3.1 New Series - THE LOVE OF GOD

Today, we shall begin a new series on the “love of God”. Join me on a journey to discover God’s love. God’s love is the central theme of the Bible as revealed in John 3:16.

(John 3:16)
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Many problems in this world are due to a lack of love. Teenagers get into bad company in order to gain acceptance. Lack of love produces a low self-image, which results in dysfunctional individuals. For others, lack of love causes problems of insecurity and unforgiveness in relationships.

These problems can be solved only with the love of God. But people are not getting to His love. Some do not know Him as yet. Others are afraid of Him whom they see as a judge. Yet others may know that God loves them but have not experienced His love in their hearts. Beloved, do you really know how much He loves you? Has His love touched your heart lately?

The Bible says that God is love (1 John 4:8). Jesus is the personification of God’s love. Jesus walked in love on this earth. In the midst of a storm, Jesus was awakened from His sleep, not by the storm but by the cries of His disciples. When Peter denied Jesus 3 times, Jesus went to Peter after His resurrection and restored him with love.

Many times, His heart was moved with compassion when He healed the sick. Jesus asked His disciples in John 15:12 to love one another as He had loved them. Finally, He went to the cross as a sacrifice for the whole world.

Today, the love of God personified through Jesus is the answer to the problems in this world. Let His love make us whole and strong again. As we experience His love, we can also share His love with others.
