3.6 The demonstration of God’s love

The Bible says that God is love, but how does the world know God’s love? The world is asking if God loves them. Many depressed, lonely and suicidal hearts need to know God’s love. They need to see His love in action.

The answer has been settled through the act of Jesus dying on the cross for them. God demonstrated His love by sending His Son. Jesus demonstrated His love by going to the cross. The world should know about God’s love for them. We should also know about God’s love for us. Let us meditate on these beautiful verses.

(1 John 4:9)
In this the LOVE OF GOD was MANIFESTED toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world…

(1 John 3:16)
By this, we KNOW LOVE, because He LAID DOWN HIS LIFE for us.

(Rom 5:8)
But God DEMONSTRATES His own LOVE toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

The Bible says that there is no greater demonstration of love than to lay down your life for another (John 15:13). God’s love is so great that nothing can ever separate us from the love of God. Even death cannot separate us from His love (Rom 8:38-39).
