8.95 Experience blessings instead of curses
(2 Cor 1:19-20)
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us…was not Yes and No, but IN HIM was Yes. For all the promises of God IN HIM are Yes, and IN HIM Amen…
In addition to the blessings of the law, we have even more abundant blessings because the New Covenant is based on better promises (Heb 8:6). We have become HEIRS and JOINT-HEIRS in Christ Jesus.
(Rom 8:16-17)
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—HEIRS of God and JOINT HEIRS with Christ…
Eph 1:3 says that we have already been blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus. All that belongs to God has been given to Jesus, and He has made all things available to us. He has sent His Spirit to declare them to us.
(John 16:15)
ALL THINGS that the Father has are Mine [Jesus’]. Therefore I said that He [the Holy Spirit] will take of Mine and declare it to you.
Our Christian walk is a lifetime of discovering His promises through His Word. There are thousands of promises in the Bible for every aspect of our lives – they include salvation, the gift of righteousness, freedom from condemnation, healing, health, baptism in the Spirit, leading of the Holy Spirit, wisdom, sound mind, boldness, love, joy, peace, family salvation, angelic help, protection, deliverance, financial blessings, promotion, redemption of lost years, renewal of your youth, good sleep, fruitfulness of the womb, long life, etc.
People are still discovering new promises each day. For example, Jackie Mize discovered that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of childbearing pain on the cross (Gal 3:13; Gen 3:16). She believed by faith and experienced the promise. She wrote a book called Supernatural Childbirth (Harrison House). When others understood the promise, they also experienced His redemptive power.
