8.93 Jesus came to give us justification, blessings and abundant life

While the Old Covenant resulted in condemnation, curses and death, Jesus came to give us justification, blessings and abundant life. Earlier, we shared that Jesus took upon Himself our condemnation, our curses and He died our death. Jesus came as our Savior and Redeemer.

Justification and life came through grace. Therefore, GRACE and LIFE always go together. If we want to have more of His Life, we will need more of His grace.

(Rom 5:21)
…as sin reigned in death, even so GRACE might reign through righteousness to ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Life is Personified through Jesus

Life is personified in Jesus. The verse below says that in Jesus was life, and the life was the light of men. In a world of darkness that is plagued with condemnation, curses and death, Jesus came as our life and light.

(John 1:3-5)
All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

The Greek word for life above is ZOE. It means God’s life. It does not refer to natural life. Jesus is the personification of God’s zoe life. There is no death in Him. There is no sickness in Him. There is no lack in Him. We can start enjoying His eternal life starting from the moment we received Him. It does not begin in heaven. Eternity has already begun.

The Life of God Does Not Come through the Law

The life of God does not come through the law. The law could not save the people. It could not justify the people. It only brought forth condemnation, curses and death.

(Gal 3:21-22)
For if there had been a LAW given which could have given LIFE, truly RIGHTEOUSNESS would have been by the law. But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

It showed us to Jesus, the Savior who could give us justification, blessings and life.
