2.11 The Holy Spirit came to glorify Jesus

Jesus came to glorify God the Father by finishing the work of redemption on the cross (John 17:4). Then Jesus poured out the Holy Spirit to glorify Him by declaring to us all that He has purchased for us on the cross.

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come...He will GLORIFY ME, for He will TAKE OF WHAT IS MINE AND DECLARE IT TO YOU. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.

Today, people desire to see God’s glory. We can only see God’s glory through Jesus’ finished work on the cross. And the Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus by declaring to us what Christ has accomplished for us.

What has Christ accomplished for us? It will take a lifetime to discover and experience the riches of His grace that flows from the cross. That is why He sent His Spirit to declare them to us progressively as individuals. He also restores truths to the Church through Church revivals in Church history.

When we walk with the Holy Spirit, we will also experience the reality Christ in our lives. We will experience Christ as our Savior, Healer, Baptizer, Redeemer, Provider, Deliverer and so much more.
