1.3 Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit

Because the blood of Jesus has washed away our sins and made us righteous in Christ, the Holy Spirit has come to indwell us. Your body is called the temple of the Holy Spirit.

(1 Corinthians 6:19)
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

What does it mean to be the temple of the Holy Spirit?

In the Old Testament, the physical temple was a glorious place. It was built with perfection, and the glory of God added to the splendor. Likewise, our bodies are wonderfully created by God, and the glory of God is manifested in it. We should not allow any sickness and infirmity to defile the glory of this temple. Those who need healing should believe God for the full restoration of the temple.
