4.7 Testimony – Covenant blessings upon a city

The city of Almolonga in Guatemala was under the bondage of poverty, alcoholism and idol worship for many years. The streets were filled with bars and the pavements strewn with drunkards in the morning.

Through prayer and intercession, the city came to Jesus and stopped idol worship. Today, 80% of the people are born-again Christians. When the people entered into covenant with God, even their land became blessed. There was a 1,000% increase in the productivity of the land. Vegetables that used to take 60 days to harvest were harvested in 25 days. Carrots grew bigger than the size of a man’s arm. The people were blessed financially and they gave all glory to Jesus.

Researchers came to study the phenomenon and the answer surprised them. It was due not to scientific advancement, but covenant blessings in Christ.
